Oz: The Great and Powerful Inspired Nails: Evanora Nails

Oz is coming out March 8th in the U.S.. I have many ideas for Oz inspired nails, but I knew that I absolutely had to replicate Evanora’s nails!

Although nobody knew what my nails were inspired by, I still received a lot of compliments on them! I, myself, am also in love with them! They’re so simple an classy.

I used three coats of OPI – So Many Clowns… So Little Time as my base. I then used Art Club stripers in Black and Fine Gold to create the curved triangle shape.

Is anyone else planning to see Oz? I’m thinking about going as one of the witches or a flying monkey! I can’t wait!

Oz: The Great and Powerful Inspired Nails: Flying Creature

Hello all! Is anyone else super excited for the new Oz movie? I sure am! Only one more week!

The little flying creature that resembles a sea monkey inspired my nails this week. I think he’s adorable, but everyone else I talked to begs to differ. Unfortunately, the lighting wasn’t agreeing with me today, so the quality of the pictures isn’t too great :(

For my blue base I used Sally Hansen – Blew Me Away! then used Savvy – Mango for the base of the creature. I created a few highlights using L'Oréal – Pink Me Up!. I mixed some Pink Me Up! with black in order to create some shadows, along with the mouth. I used black and white polish to make the eyes.

I used Rimmel London – French Rose for my french base for the rest of my nails. I made a black french tip using Wet n Wild – Black Crème.

Geometric Cube Nail Art

I’ve been falling behind on posting; these nails are from last week. I actually don’t feel like posting today, but am forcing myself, considering I know I won’t feel like next weekend either. I won’t be home much next weekend, but I have already planned out how I’m doing my nails.

For my base, I used New York Color – West Village, then sponged Maybelline – Purple Icon on my tips. To create my cubes I made squares using Revlon – Smoldering, then made the sides using Wet n Wild – Gray’s Anatomy. To finish it off, I used a white Stripe Rite striper to outline my cubes.

Rose Nails for Valentine’s Day

As far as Valentine’s Day goes, I find it very hard to be even semi-original with nails. I went for the classic rose this week.

DSCN1997

I used a black striper to make the outlines of the roses, then filled them in with green and red/pink polish. At the moment, I do not feel like searching for the bottles of polish I used, so if you do want to know what I used, comment and let me know :)

Before I bid you farewell, I’d like you to know something…

It’s true. I really do love you guys. Without you, I would feel pretty lonely in the nail blogging world. Even though I have no problem talking to myself, I really appreciate all of you showing interest in my nails. Thank you <3

Sparkly Valentine’s Day Gradient Nails

Yesterday I just grabbed some polish, and aimlessly did my nails. I had no clue what I was actually doing, but I think it turned out pretty well. I tend to “wing it” a lot!

I first applied 2 coats of KleanColor – Sheer Peach as my base, then created a gradient using Finger Paints – Rose Patina and Sally Girl – Sparkle. Next, I used one coat of China Glaze – Fairy Dust on top of my entire nail, along with a very thin layer of Wet n Wild – Kaleidoscope just extending a bit past the gradient. Then, picked out large holographic glitters from Revlon – Stunning and placed them on the pink gradient . Finally, I applied some holographic silver heart spangles to my ring fingers and thumbs.
